Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how urqrgen collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the website, including static QR tools, barcode tools, dynamic QR accounts, premium features, and contact forms.
1. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect the following categories of data:
- Account details such as your email address and profile name.
- Authentication-related data such as OTP requests, sign-in activity, and session-related records.
- Dynamic QR records such as title, slug, destination URL, status, timestamps, and scan count.
- Payment-related references such as order IDs, payment IDs, subscription status, and related billing metadata.
- Contact form details such as your name, email address, subject, and message.
- Website usage and analytics data collected through tools such as Google Analytics.
2. Static QR codes and barcode generation
Static QR codes and standard barcode generation are primarily handled in your browser. The content you enter for static QR and barcode generation is not intended to be stored by urqrgen as part of the standard generation process.
However, information may still appear temporarily in your browser, browser history, local session state, logs created by your device, or normal website traffic records depending on how you use the service and your environment.
3. Dynamic QR account data
When you create or manage dynamic QR codes, urqrgen stores the data needed to keep those redirects working. This may include:
- Your account identifier and email address.
- The QR title you provide.
- The generated slug or short path.
- The destination URL linked to that QR code.
- Whether the redirect is active or inactive.
- Creation and update timestamps.
- Scan counts and usage-related information connected to the redirect service.
4. OTP and login data
For account access and verification, we may process one-time passcodes and related login records. OTP values are intended for short-lived verification use only.
We do not intend to expose OTP values publicly, and OTP delivery is handled through our email delivery setup. Temporary authentication records may be stored for verification, security, and abuse prevention purposes.
5. Payment and subscription data
If you purchase or activate a paid plan, urqrgen may store payment-related references needed to verify purchases, grant access, manage subscriptions, and respond to billing questions.
This may include subscription status, plan name, order references, payment references, timestamps, and related records. Sensitive card details are not intended to be stored directly by urqrgen when payments are processed through a payment provider.
6. Contact form submissions
When you submit the contact form, we collect the details you enter, such as name, email address, subject, and message. This information is used to respond to enquiries, provide support, and handle business or service-related communication.
7. Analytics and website usage
urqrgen may use analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to understand website traffic, navigation patterns, device/browser usage, and general performance. This helps improve product quality, content, and user experience.
Analytics providers may use cookies, identifiers, IP-related metadata, and browser/device information according to their own systems and policies.
8. How we use information
We may use collected information to:
- Provide QR, barcode, dynamic redirect, and account-related services.
- Authenticate users and maintain account security.
- Operate, improve, and troubleshoot the website.
- Respond to contact requests and support messages.
- Manage premium access, billing records, and usage limits.
- Monitor abuse, fraud, misuse, or security issues.
9. Sharing of information
We may share data with service providers that help operate the website, such as hosting, database, authentication, analytics, email, and payment providers. We may also disclose information if required to comply with legal obligations, enforce our policies, protect rights, or address fraud and security concerns.
10. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or maintain security. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of data and the feature involved.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and operational measures to protect the information we process. No internet-based service can guarantee absolute security, so users should also take care when managing account access, QR destinations, and sensitive content.
12. Your choices
You may choose whether to create an account, submit a contact form, or use premium features. If you no longer want dynamic QR records associated with your account, you may stop using the feature or contact us regarding account-related requests where applicable.
